Program summary

  • If you want to kick-start your performance improvement journey within the physical, emotional and spiritual domains this program can be just the type of adventure to get you there
  • The program combines long days of hiking over the Asturian mountains with group coaching sessions to help you assess your current habit systems, explore and test what science deem to be high-performance habits and set an ambition for your new behavioral system
  • Currently accepting up to 5 participants. Previous hiking experience recommended as we will push 30 km days

Itenary

Day 1 - Oviedo to Grado (25km)

  • Welcome to Asturias!
  • 09:00 CET: We meet at Plaza de la Catedral the Cathedral de El Salvador and enjoy a local coffee before heading west towards Grado
  • Individual coaching sessions are spread out during morning and afternoon
  • Suitable refuel stops at La Bolguina and Escamplero about 8-16 km ahead
  • Evening group session: IQ Habits - Growth mindset

Day 2 - Grado to La Espina (30km)

  • We continue west in the footsteps of the earliest pilgrims hiking the camino (800 years ago)
  • Hike out alone or in company but before 09:00 CET
  • Individual coaching sessions are spread out during morning and afternoon
  • Suitable refuel stops at Doriga and Salas about 8 and 20 km ahead
  • Evening group session: PQ Habits - The pentagon of physical health

Day 3 - La Espina to Pola De Allende (33km)

  • Hike out alone or in company but before 09:00 CET
  • Individual coaching sessions are spread out during morning and afternoon
  • Suitable refuel stops at Tineo and Campiello about 11 and 25 km ahead

Day 4 - Pola de Allende to Grandes de Salime (38km)

  • The longest hike of the journey 
  • Hike out alone or in company but before 09:00 CET

  • Suitable refuel stops at Berducedo and Embalse de Salime about 14 and 31 km ahead

Day 5 - Grandes de Salime to O Complejo A Pineral (30km)

Day 6 - O Complejo A Pineral to Vilar Cas (34km)

Day 7 - Vilar de Cas to San Roman de Retorta (34km)

Day 8 - San Roman De Retorta to Melide (28km)

Day 9 - Melide to Salseda (26km)

Day 10 - Salseda to Santiago De Compostela (28km)

  • Hike out alone or in company but before 09:00 CET

  • Suitable refuel stops at O Pedrouso and San Payo about 8 and 16km ahead
  • Evening group celebration
  • Evening group dinner (optional)

Day 11 - Santiago De Compostela and onwards

  • Meet the sunrise meditation (optional)
  • Farewell "Swedish fika" (coffee and bun) at 09:00 (optional)
  • Check out before 11:00
  • Leave tired but renewed and ready to apply learned peak performance habits

Getting there

  • There are regular flights from the UK and Europe to the Asturias Airport. From there the bus takes about 45 minutes to Oviedo. There are also trains and buses available from major Spanish cities. cities

What to bring?

  • Backpack (25-45 liter) with rain cover (or use a garden plastic bag inside)
  • Clothes - go as light as possible
